"In the life of a neophyte, of a student of spirituality, there are three important phases that many of you have experienced.

To begin with, it is the phase that you are all living, one in which you hide yourself in front of others and also from yourselves, where you dissimilate what you call your small defects. The image of yourselves that you give to others must be impeccable. You must always show the most agreeable side of your personality and without being aware of it, you deceive yourselves.

After having gone through this phase, to have advanced and become a little awakened, you can no longer hide behind yourselves so you then become disagreeable for others, saying what you would never have dared say, to act as you would never have dared act because you were afraid that someone would think ill of you and that you would not be loved.

This second phase of liberation is very important because it is an evolving one, contrary to what you may believe, because during this period you do not necessarily think about others’ opinions, you are much more frank with yourselves and with others, already knowing unconsciously that you are preparing for the next step; you no longer wish to dissimulate who you are, but, on the contrary, you have a profound desire for freedom of expression and a change in behavior.

This phase that lasts for several years for some is very difficult because you do not always love yourself and yet you cannot do otherwise; it is the important part of the apprenticeship of being clear with yourselves.

The third phase is that of understanding who you are, it is the stage of letting go, not in order to please and to say ‘I have succeeded, I have let go, I have forgiven’ but a profound letting go in comprehension, in compassion, and in the total forgiveness of yourselves and of others.

At this stage, you begin to know who you are, to know all of your behavior, your ‘going overboard’ and your limits, and you also begin to perceive the immense treasures that are within you. Even if, at the beginning this phase seems difficult to you, it brings you more and more towards the understanding of the Divine within you and of who you really are. There is no forced letting go, there are no sweet words that allow you to be recognized as spiritual beings by those who surround you; there is only you with yourself and the profound desire to allow the manifestation, as much as possible, in a real and total mastery, and not a constrained mastery, the part that is the most beautiful, the most sacred, the most luminous, the Divine part that dwells within you.

Each of you has more or less experienced these different phases; we hope that today you are in the third phase, the part the most important of your evolution, the one where you must understand and accept the other, not only with his differences, but also, sometimes, with his few minutes of delay in relation to you in his awakening.

This third phase is of utmost importance. It is the one of real mastery in Love and in evolution. Only you can know if you have changed. If you find yourself in this third phase, if you enter into resonance with it, it is because you have changed.

The work is not over; it is now that it becomes the most important because you must absolutely act continuously upon your own transformation, upon all that you receive from the exterior, upon the behavior that you have with your family members, to act continuously in Love and in compassion. However, you must never force yourselves or others, you must never force yourself to go too fast; if you wish to go too fast in this third phase, you will act with an artificial mastery, a mastery still commanded by the ego and not that of the Divine Being that is within you.

Be very attentive to what we are telling you. There is mastery and there is mastery, and the only one that is valid is that which can only be conceived in compassion, in Love, in pure tolerance, and in unconditional letting go.

Meditate on what we have just told you. It may happen that you turn back a little in order to propel yourself further into this third phase. If the second has not completely manifested itself, you may, by small leaps, return to that intermediary period, but we know that each of you will function better and better in this marvelous phase with its succession of revelations about what it is."
